I had different expectations. So did my family. I was supposed to be a veterinarian. I started out that way. I spent three years in pre-vet at the University of Arizona. Then things broke down a bit. Actually, the expectations broke down. The only thing I had left was what I should have been all along, I guess. I ended up being UA’s first Interdisciplinary graduate. I joined an acting company, The Invisible Theatre, received a vocal scholarship, painted portraits for summer money, started a band, moved to LA…

I’m an author (Wizrd), now working to get a second book published. I’ve been an editorial cartoonist for The Tombstone Epitaph, a courtroom sketch artist, a session vocalist (yeah, you can still hear me on some old Baywatch episodes…), an animator and animation tools instructor for artists at Disney Feature Animation, Sony Digital Imageworks, Rhythm&Hues, and others. Now I work for Intel connecting artists and producers with computer technology, and managing the Multi-Core Developers Community for the Intel Software Network. Sure, I can’t say everything’s gone as planned. It hasn’t all been good, but I’ve met and worked with some amazing folks along the way.

It’s been a twisted path.

How about you? Where are you?

How did you get there?
